Quick post. Erin and Rachael, two of my four flatmates (Tennessee and New Jersey, respectively), went on a ferry ride with me yesterday to Rangitoto, where we hiked a Volcano! It was inactive, of course, and the view from the top was absolutely spectacular. I felt like I was on top of the world... The hike took a little over an hour and then we walked around the crater which took another twenty minutes or so. On the way back down Erin and Rachael went into the "lava tubes," which are small, dark caves. Hmm... small, enclosed, dark space filled with spiders? Not so much. I watched their backpacks.
